It appears my laptop is not dead after all. She was merely suffering from a deadly virus of some sort, and my dad has been able to cure her. Sure he had to wipe out and reinstall everything, and now I have to put all my files back on the computer after making sure each one is okay, but SHE'S BACK!

However, the fact still remains that she is four years old, so I will be getting a new laptop to take to college to do all my work. This one will stay behind at home for my brother to use.

It is with great sadness in my heart that I must announce that my wonderful, beautiful, most amazing laptop is now deceased. This laptop has seen me through many years of academic hardship, from regular homework assignments through college entrance essays, and she has stood by me proudly as I explored the vast Internetz in search of amusement. Farewell, my dear friend, I will miss you.

So, yes. In addition to being very SAD, I am also writing this to say that I have no idea how one is supposed to get by without a laptop. Seriously. It feels like my arm has been cut off or something. I cannot listen to music, watch videos, play games, read manga, watch anime, get on the Internet...the only reason I can update this now is because my roommate lets me use her computer when she is out. I still have one week to go before my exams are through and I get to go home. Luckily I don't need a computer to study, but still.

*sniff* I miss her!

Happy Halloween everyone! God, that was the oneshot that refused to be written. Finally, yesterday, I scrapped everything I had and wrote this somehow in four hours. It needs some more work, but I'm actually quite satisfied that I managed to get something like this done in one sitting.

Anyway, I'm not really doing much this Halloween. I have two tests on Monday and a quiz on Tuesday, along with several projects. I'm not incredibly busy, but it's enough to keep me from going out and partying (as if I ever did that in the first place... )

To make matters worse, my roommate and my close friends I have in the dorm are out of town this weekend, so I literally have no one to go and pester. It's a bit lonely.

...but ZELDA NEWS! I went and got three new games at the mall yesterday: Oracle of Ages, A Link to the Past, and The Legend of Zelda, all for the Gameboy. I'm excited! Also, I'm asking for Spirit Tracks for Christmas! There will be a lot of Zelda playing this winter break!!!

And lastly, A-kon? Maybe...I'm thinking I might actually go this year. I've never gone to a convention because my parents were rather strict, but now that I'm in college, I figured I should give it a shot. It's all the way in June so I have plenty of time to decide. I might even cosplay, though it would be something simple, like Red (Link) from the Four Swords manga. He loses his sword/shield like midway through, and that would totally suit my cheap tastes! Tee hee hee!
