To the hidden snake in the meadow

You might have seen me cast aside
The good within my soul
To shed the pure, sinless body
And become the empty hole

You might not have seen the open wound

It grows within your maddening spirit
Hiding behind the hate you’ve shown

You might not have seen what you really are
The inner self you deny
